CrossWays Missions Training Program is a 21 day experience designed to train and equip participants to unearth what they are capable of in Christ, and how they can use their abilities to better serve others. The Missions Training Program is part discipleship training, part wilderness expedition, and part foreign missions adventure, all centered around putting your training into immediate practice.

Training begins with the first half of an intense discipleship training seminar called the Highway. The seminar requires a courageous examination of one's personal life in the light and scrutiny of the Holy Spirit. Next, the physically and spiritually challenging Wilderness Expedition provides leadership training while testing strength, endurance, and one's willingness and ability to apply principles learned in the first half of the Highway. Then, we complete the second half of the Highway, which focuses on discovering one's unique personal gifts and vision for service.

The above training is followed by preparation for the foreign outreach phase of the program. Here, we incorporate country-specific cultural and travel preparation, establish international connections, and provide outreach training. Participants are then sent to locations around the world. Overseas assignments require completing various challenges and tasks while pursuing ways to compassionately serve the indigenous people. Opportunities abound to initiate and build relationships for future ministry. Upon return and debriefing, participants are trained to compile and share their experience with churches, future donors, and friends.

Do you see yourself as a future leader? CrossWays Missions Training Program empowers future leaders to grow as disciples, stretch beyond their own limits, and serve others with strength, courage and compassion. You will be equipped with all the tools necessary to go back out into the world, change lives, and train others to do the same.

"Like my overblown fear of snakes, perhaps we have an outsize fear in America that if we meet people's physical or financial or emotional needs, we will somehow distract people from the gospel. Or, they won't see the gospel. Or, they'll take advantage of us. Or, whatever... But that's rubbish! We need only look at Christ's ministry to see that HE poured His life into meeting people's needs in an endless variety of ways - healing the sick, feeding the hungry, encouraging the downtrodden and proclaiming the gospel. Let's not hesitate to meet people's needs, as only Christians can. Even if there are snakes lurking here and there." Dr. Calver - President World Relief
